Don Crum has been working in the animation industry for over 10
years.
Born and raised in Williamston, Michigan, Don attended the Center
for Creative Studies, College of Art and Design in Detroit,
Michigan to study Industrial Design. It was during his time in art
school that Don became fascinated by the art of animation.
After graduating and working two years as an industrial designer,
Don was hired by Walt Disney Feature Animation to work on the
feature film, Mulan. Working in traditional hand-drawn animation,
Don continued to work at the Disney studio on such films as Beauty
and the Beast: Special Edition, Tarzan, Lilo & Stitch, and
Brother Bear.
In 2004, Don was hired at Pixar Animation Studios where he
transitioned to computer animation and has worked on the films,
Cars, and the Academy Award© winning Ratatouille. Additionally, Don
has worked on the Pixar animated short films, One Man Band and Your
Friend the Rat. He most recently completed work on
Disney•Pixar's, WALL•E.
Don lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife Sue.
